Labyrinth Opening Ceremony – Hawaii Style

My friend and QHHT® client spent over a year preparing her lot to create an amazing labyrinth which is now open to the public.  It’s located in Seaview Estates on the east side of the Big Island of Hawaii.

Here’s a look at the opening ceremony.

The labyrinth opening ceremony starts with The Oli which is a chant performed by Petronila Tabudlo Blank.

The chant is called Kunihi Ka Mauna.

She is asking for permission to enter the labyrinth.

It’s like a password.

It’s a Hawaiian cultural protocol.

Then the property owner, Marylove offers a blessing.

Sasha O’Malley dances hula to ‘O Kalapana’ to honor the sacred area of the ‘Aina.

Once the labyrinth has been blessed, it is open for the walking meditation.
